Biography

Elori Baume is a Swiss saxophonist, composer and music teacher based in Bern.

Born in 1999 in Neuchâtel, Elori spent his childhood in Delémont. He started playing music at a very young age, setting his heart to the saxophone while learning other instruments – drums, piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, etc. – and composition. In 2017, he was admitted to the Hochschule der Künste Bern (HKB) in jazz, where he studied under Lutz Häfner, Django Bates, Dejan Terzic, Colin Vallon, Patrice Moret (…). He finished his master’s degree in music pedagogy in 2022.

Active in many musical genres, he co-founded the “omnivorous jazz” quartet Octante-et-Onze as well as the groove band FUSOOSH! and he also joined the hip-hop band Brassmaster Flash. While playing and composing for these three bands, he participates in projects as varied as big bands, musicals, free improvisation projects, occasional collaborations with DJs, rappers, pop singers etc…

Besides his musical projects, he currently teaches saxophone, clarinet and flute in private lessons and at Musikschule Aaretal in Münsingen (BE).
